In front of an “A”, “O”, “U”, “UE”, “UI” a hard “g” similar to: “gain”, “gone”, “gun”:


Before an “I” or an “E”,  like “H” but hard, creating a hacking sound similar to “Loch”:


The further south in Spain, the softer the sound. Closer to an English “H”, but a sheet of paper will move in front of your mouth if you put it there because the “geh” is voiced.
